      Date of will 19 May 1737
      - Sister Sarah Austen to receive two guineas.
      - "Dear Daughter Mary Austen (born unto me by my first wife)" who is in "her minority" to receive 100 pounds and be under the guardianship of the executors.
      - "Rest and Residue ... to my Dear and Loving wife [unnamed], in Satisfaction of her Marriage Bond and to enable her the better to provide for her own child my other Daughter [unnamed] whom I commit to the Guardianship of her mother."
      - Executors "my two friends and Neighbours, Ambrose Gibbons and Thomas Boorman both of Brenchley."
      - Witnesses J. Strother Clerk, Mary Relse, and Mary Larkin.

      "Ambrose Austen of this Parish, d. June 11, 1737, in the 39th year of his age. (BT: bur. June 16, 1737)
      He left issue 2 daus., Mary by his 1st w., and Elizabeth by his 2nd.
      This stone was erected by daughter, Elizabeth."
