    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. FHL book 929.273 "Some Descendants of Michael Stoker 1731-1819," compiled by Kathleen Stoker Overton (ca. 2003?), 59. This book does a good job of tracing several non-Mormon descendancy lines from the original immigrant. The birth date looks faulty and the husband is likely Mr. Burdoon and not Mr. Pertune (a phonetic spelling?):
      "Maria Barbara Stoker
Barbara was born 25 December 1774 in Frederick, Frederick, Maryland to Michael Stoker and Elizabeth Fahs. Her birth was registered in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick. Her Mother, Elizabeth, died when Barbara was only three years old and she got a Step Mother the next year when her Father married Mary.
Barbara married a Mr. Pertune as indicated in her Father's will written in 1818. Her Father left Barbara a cow and a share when real and personal property was sold. Barbara probably died before 1841 as her nephew, Michael Stoker, was baptized as a proxy for her in Nauvoo when Baptism for the dead began.
It has been difficult to find any trace of Barbara and so know little about her.
