- RESEARCH_NOTES:
1. The Latvian Archives is online and I have reviewed all Registers for Pilten. Registers are in German and I indicate what I don't understand. I extracted all Herzenbergs of which the following excerpts apply to this family:
-Image 169. Has two columns of ages after the name with the first being 1850 and the second 1854; presumably if missing in the second column then probably deceased in the interim. I believe the Archives indicates they had a 1851 revision list, which may be what they call the first column; however, it appears more like 1850 in reality age-wise. List # 111, Family #59:
-239 Levin Lemchen Herzenberg, 50, 54 [Has comments needing translation; has date of 1853 in comment.]
-his wife Dwaure
-240 son Jossel, 19, 23
-241 son Abraham, 34, 38 [Has comments needing translation; has date of 13 Oct 1852 in comment.]
-242 his son Leme, 7, 11
-243 his son Elias, ½, - , Elias died in 1850
-Image 224. Has two columns of ages after the name with the first being 1858 and the second 1871; presumably if missing in the second column then probably deceased in the interim. List #44, Family #54:
-228 Levin Lämchen Herzenberg, 58, - (Comment that Levin died 1867.) [Has other comments needing translation.]
-his wife D'baure
-229 his son Abraham, 43, 56 [Has comments needing translation.]
-his wife [Giele?]
-230 his son Lämme, 15, 28
-231 his son Hirsch, 5, 18
-232 his son Jossel, 27, 40 [Has comments needing translation.]
-his wife Jette
-233 his son Ruben, 2, 15
