    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. The Latvian Archives is online and I have reviewed all Registers for Pilten. Registers are in German and I indicate what I don't understand. I extracted all Herzenbergs of which the following excerpts apply to this family:
      A. "http://www.lvva-raduraksti.lv/en/menu/lv/13/ig/13/ie/5507/book/30313.html
-Image 47: "Lemchen Joseph Herzenberg" is title of an entire return page at Pilten 22 Sep 1811 containing:
-Lemgen Joseph Herzenberg, 33 (Side comment: Lemgen [Lemchen] Joseph [son of Joseph] Herzenberg was registered under oklad Number 38 in Windau in September of 1811, lived in the house Nr. 9.)
      -his wife Sorre, 33
      -their sons:
      -Lewin, 9
      -Elias, 6
-Leyser Abraham, (no age). (Comment on side: Father-in-law of Lemchen [father of Sorre, in German - Schwiegervate])- Leiser Abraham, aged 80, blind, see the lists of invalids.)
      -Chasse, (female) 16 (maid)
      Residents in the same home:
      -Zoddach Abraham Pabst, 29
      -Beile (female), 36
      -Sorre (female), 1
      -Behr Josell Schwalbe, 28
      -Reÿline (female), 18
      -Moses Marcus, 19"
      B. http://www.lvva-raduraksti.lv/en/menu/lv/13/ig/13/ie/5507/book/30319.html
      -Image 4 of "Invalid List":
-House #1, Moses Abraham ..., 85, blind, [Translation unsure but has a location of "Nivgauld?"]
-House #9, Leyser Abraham ..., 80, blind. [Same location as above.]
Note that the location Nivgauld? shows up with several other individuals on the list. Others have Pilten for a location. Perhaps it is an outlying settlement in the Pilten area.
I assume the name Abraham is their father's name and that no family name is given because of the dots following the name in the entry. Other entries on the page are about half and half of given names or given names with surnames.
I would assume Moses and Leyser are brothers.

      2. The Latvian Archives is online and we Moses Abraham as a tenant in a household of an unknown family. See image #39 of http://www.lvva-raduraksti.lv/en/menu/lv/13/ig/13/ie/5507/book/30313.html
No age is given and there is a comment on the side to refer to the "Invalid List."
