"Samuel D. Wells, a son of Edmund and Welthia Ann (Goodrich) W. of Cambridge, NY, born 3 May 1781 Schaghticoke, Rensselaer Co., NY; 1850 census of Cambridge, NY gives his occupation as laborer; he married 1st ___ to Miriam Henry, daughter of Joseph and ___ H., born ___; she died apparently after 7 April 1811, when her 2nd child was born; he was a member of the Associated Reformed Church of Cambridge, from 4 Oct. 1836; he married 2nd 26 April 1813, in the ministry of the Rev. John Dunlap, of the Protestant Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, to Olive SCOTT, daughter of John and Asenath (___) S. of Cambridge, born, perhaps 1776, but 1850 census and cemetery record indicate 1786, in Nova Scotia or New York (?); family lived, at least some of the time in Cambridge; Olive W. died 2 Aug. 1851 ae. 64 years, 9 mo. 9 days and was buried in cemetery on Turnpike south of Cambridge Village; he died 30 Jan. 1866, ae. 84 yrs. 9 mos. and buried with 2nd wife Olive ("Wash.
