      We the subscribers appointed by the Court of Probate of the District of Danbury to set out to Experience Rundle the Widow of Joseph Rundle late of New Fairfield, dec'd Her dowry in the estate of her late husband being sworn as the law directs = have performed the same in the following manner = Wee Set off to the said Widow during her natural life one piece of land = Bounded as followeth beginning at the Widow Mary Ladocks north east corner by the highway then Southwardly and easterly by the sd Widow Ladocks Land to Eliphalet Brushes Land then Southwardly by sd Brush to a heap of stones in the Line Being the North West corner bound, of a pease of land belonging to the above sd estate then Easterly twenty rods to a heap of stones then southwardly eighteen rods, to a heap of stones in sd Brushes Line then easterly by sd Brushes line to the highway then by highway to the first bounds, begun at Containing about seven acors and a half together with the Barn - Set att = Lb 22 = 6 = 8 also Six acor, Lying adjoyning the Dwelling House together with the House and all the Privileges then belonging Sett att LB 13 = 0 = Being the one third part of the whole of the real estate of sd deceased/ Zachus Brush, Daniel Smith, Eliphalet Brush.
      In the Court of Danbury for the District of Danbury June __th 1778 William Runnel one of the Executors of the last Will and Testament of Joseph Runnel late of New Fairfield Deceased hay ing applied to this Court for ___ ___ persons to be appointed to set off to Experience Runnel widow of the said deceased her dower in said real estate of the said deceased. This Court Doth thereupon appoint Capt. Zachus Brush, Lieut. Daniel Smith, and Eliphalet Brush all of Freehold in New Fairfield aforesaid to set out and ascertain to the said Experience her Dowry according to Law in the estate of her late husband Joseph, Danbury June 16, 1778.       Vol. 3 pg. 315: "To all parts to whom these presents shall come Greeting know ye that I Joseph Rundell son unto the deceased William late of Greenwich... in his Majesties Colony of Con... for & in consideration of the sum of 35 pounds current money of the Colonie to me in hand before the ensealing here sd well & truely paid by my brother Abraham Rundall of the same place the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & my self there with fairly satisfied & contented... discharge my brother Abraham Rundall his heirs & assigns forever all my rights in land & moveable Estate property belonging to me ye sd Joseph Rundell by order of the last Will & Testament of my Honored Father William Rundall deceased only exempting my sd Joseph rights in lands as may any ways appear by sd fathers last Will & Testament now lying in Commons on the west side of Myanos River in sd Greenwich above ye maine countie road for hint sd Abraham Rundall to have & to hold the above promised & bargained premises with all ye priveledges apurtanances belonging to him the sd Abraham Rundall... I the sd Joseph Rundle... grant with the sd Abraham Rundall... I am ye lawful owner of the above bargained premises & am lawfully seized & possessed of the same in my own proper right as a good perfect and absolute estate of inheritance in full simple herein myself good rightful power & lawful authority to warrant... sd Abraham Rundall his... use occupy possess & enjoy ye sd promised... premises... sd Joseph Rundall... do covenant & engage the above premises unto him the Sd Abraham Rundall... I ye sd Joseph Rundell do here unto set my hand & seal this 6th day of Nov. in 1727 in the 1st year of the reign of our Sovereign George by the Grace of God King of Great Britton. Joseph Rendall.       Vol. 3 pg. 316: "I William Rundall of Greewich county of Fairfield Colony of Connecticut for 20 pounds of current money willingly and fairly pd to me before the ensealing by my brother Joseph Rundall of same place for the following tracts of land lying in the bounds of Greenwich at a place called Pecks Land Ridge Consisting of 5 acres bounded northerly by William Rundalls land it being Boggy Meadows south by Joseph Renalds bogs east by the highway west by Common land another parcel consisting of 5 acres bounded by ye highway eastward and east to Boggy Meadow northwesterly by Common land northerly and southerly by Common land the above parcels of land assigned from me to Joseph Rundall and before the ensealing declare I am ye true and lawful owner of the above sd premises received as mine with the proper right of a good peaceful and absolute estate of inheritance fee simple an heir in my gift good & right with full power and lawful authority to grant the above premises unto Joseph Rundall by me William Rundall this 10th day of Nov. 1727. William Rundall. Witnesses Samuel Peck, Jeremiah Peck. Samuel Peck Justice of Peace."
      Vol. 4 pg. 92: "To all Christian People to whosoever these present shall come greetings know ye Abraham Rendel of Greenwich in Connecticut Collonie for and in consideration of the sum of 69 pounds in current & lawful money of sd Collonie to me in hand paid by Joseph Rundell. of the same place place above ye herein whereof the sd Abraham do hereby acknowledge myself have bargained assigns forever to sd Joseph and his heirs forever one standing dwelling house and 13 1/2 acres of sd land lying in Greenwich on the west side of Myanos river above the mile and a half line to a place named Pecks Ridge and is west by Roundtree Hill a road and north by the land of William Rundles deceased and passes by Moses Heusted and Common land & south by the sd Joseph Rundels land however bounded together to either with all privileges as signed & sealed this 17th day of June 1734. Abraham Rundell; witnesses William Renals, Phips ___, Ebenezer Mead Justice."
