From my visit to the Northumberland Records Office at Woodhorn on Jun 2009, I reviewed the Catholic Register Transcripts book (RCT-3) for Minsteracres Roman Catholic Church in Bywell St. Peter which had the following entries for the surname Charlton. The writing is in latin and the first entry is most likely for Thomas, Jr, son of Thomas and Elizabeth; the others have no apparent relation to us:
Pg. 29 or 30: Confirmati ab Minster Acren 1796: Thomas Charlton.
Pg. 31: Confirmati 28 Maii 1804 ab Epicipo Will acanthoniai: John Charlton, Edward Charlton, and Mary Charlton.
Pg. 43: Death: Isabella Charlton d. at Ebchester 21 (or 31?) Jun 1816.
