      "Martha Phelps, b. Windsor, 12 Nov 1688, m. Corpl. Samuel Holcomb[3], 13 Oct 1709 (son of Sergt. Benjamin[2] and Sarah (Eno) Holcomb, b. 29 Mar 1683, (of Thomas[1] Holcomb in Dorchester, 1634). Corporal Holcomb settled in Poquonock, Ct., whre he died 13 Aug 1792 [s/b 1722], and where his wife died. Children, b. in Poquonock [all surnamed Holcomb]:
