    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. Email from Georgia Estes nimblethimble53@yahoo.com 3 Jul 2004 asking if this Hannah could possibly be the wife to Christopher Forncrock (Rev. War soldier) and mother of Margaret born 1789. She doesn't know but only raises the possibility. Age of Margaret does not work well with Hannah's surmised birthdate.

      2. From the family files at the Montgomery County, NY, Historical Archives, "Descendants of Casper Plank":
      A. "Christian Plank ({George} Adam, George Adam, Johann Georg Plank {Blanck}, Frederick Plank, Caspar) was born March 12, 1777 in Johnstown,NY, and died Dec. 14, 1842 in Mayfield, NY. B. "Children of Christian Plank and Hannah Frederick are [not in order; also note the two eldest children appear to be named after their maternal grandparents]:

      3. From the family files at the Montgomery County, NY, Historical Archives, "The Plank Family, 1973, by Nellie Plank:
      A. Christian John Plank (father: Adam), born March 12, 1777 in Johnstown, NY, and died Dec. 14, 1842. He married Hannah (Anna) Frederick on Jan 1, 1801 at Caughnawaga Reformed Church, Fonda, NY. Lived on a farm in the Town of Johnstown. Later moved to Mayfield, NY and lived on a farm there 25 years. Probably buried in or near Mayfield, NY. Children:

[Note that the above source has more on each child including their children.]

      4. The booklet on the Frederick family by Mrs. Alida Reed of Gloversville, NY, 1957 (she died Dec 1966) with copies at the Montgomery Co., NY, Archives and a microfilmed copy on FHL film 1312457, item 4). Alida descends through Hans Jacob Frederick and Margaret Young and their son George:
"Hannah, b. 1784. md. Christian Plank, 1 Jan 1801. Children:
      Jacob, b. 19 Jan 1803."

      BIRTH:
      1. The birthdate is uncertain. I have used "abt 1779," and Alida Reed uses 1784. Both dates appear speculative; however, 1784 seems to be too tightly wedged in between the two adjoining Children.

      2. The actual birth place is unknown. Both Jacob Frederick and Margaret Young were of Warrensbush (now Florida Township) in Montgomery Co. They both did eventually end up in Johnstown, which is about 10 miles max from Mill Point and north across the Mohawk River. When they moved is not known except that they did buy land there at Keck Center in 1792. They may have been paying quit-rent on the property before then since it was about the early 1790 when many of the landowners were finally selling the quit-rented land. Alida Reed in her booklet already referenced elsewhere in these note indicates she believes they moved there shortly after the birth of their first child Peter. She is confident that it may have been no later than when Margaret was born in 1785 because the sponsors at Margaret's birth were Jacob Bossert and his wife Margaret. She says, "In the genealogy of the Bossart family (sometimes spelled Boshart and Bushart) we find the first of that family did live in the section of Johnstown that leads to Fonda. So they were probably neighbors." I currently use "of Warrensbush."

      MARRIAGE:
      1. Marriage records of "Records of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Caughnawaga: now the Reformed Church of Fonda, in the village of Fonda, Montgomery County, N.Y.," New York, 1917, 748 pp.:
Lodewyk Frederick and Alida Miller, 21 Mar 1774.
Frans Frederick and Susanna Cosaadt, 30 Dec 1774.
Frans Cosaadt and Nancy Johnson, 20 Jun 1777.
Thomas Van Horne and Maria Frederick, 21 Oct 1779.
Peter Frederick and Elizabeth Marlet, 21 Oct 1779 [same time as Thomas Van Horne.]
(Illegible) Mair? and the daughter of Philip Fredrick, 23 Jan 1788. [Could this be Hendrick Mower and Elizabeth Frederick?]
Christian Plank and Hannah Frederick, 1 Jan 1801.
George Frederick and Caty Cag, 21 Feb 1803.

      2. Some have Christian Plank married to Hannah, dau. of Philip Frederick. Plank family genealogy shows Christian marrying Hanna (Anna), the daughter of Jacob Frederick and Margaret Young - Philip's Hanna would have been 22 years the senior of Christian.
