Presumably Anna Elisabetha Wampler was also known as Ann Wampler. Anna Elisabetha is the name given in the 1750 baptismal record of one of Peter Wampler's daughters. Peter's 1792 will and later records refer to Ann, wife of Abraham Hartman. Abraham Hartman was mentioned in the Adminimstration Account (1796) pertaining to Peter Wampler's estate. Abraham Hartman's will was written on 4 Nov 1826 and probated 31 Mar 1829 in Frederick Co., MD. He bequeathed all his estate, real and personal, to his wife Ann, and she was named as the executrix. Ann Hartman's will was written on 7 Dec 1830 and probated 11 Apr 1836 in Frederick Co. She made a number of bequests to relatives and firends. The relatives were Mary, Ann, Daniel and Catharine Wampler, all children of her brother Jacob; her brother John Wampler; and four nephews, Jacob, John, David and Daniel Englers, sons of her sister Phoebe. Ohers who were to receive bequests wer Mary Engler, 'a young woman that I have raised'; and David Stoner and Henry Bucher of Frederick County. As her executor she named a friend, Daniel Sayler Jr. The assets distributed to her legatees amounted to $3,335.98. The passage of her will pertaining to the children of her brother Jacob reads: 'I give and bequeath unto my two nieces, daughters of my brother Jacob Wampler, Mary Wampler and Ann Wampler, eash of them fifty dollars in cash. In consequence of those two nieces, Mary Wampler and Ann Wampler bieng in a state of mental derangement it is my will that their said legacies be paid as follows: Fifty dollars to be paid into the hands of Daniel Wampler of Jacob to be applyed by him to the support of said Mary Wampler, and fifty dollars to be paid into the hands of Catharine the sister of those girls, to be by her applyed and laid out for the support of said Ann Wampler, provided the said girls should not live any more, then the laid legacies shall go to the said Daniel Wampler, and to said Catherine for their own use of their heirs.'"
